Sichuan Beef

Ingredients:
- 300g sliced beef
- 100g green pepper
- 100g chopped onion
- 100g sliced bamboo shoots
- 1½ tsp chilli bean sauce
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp monosodium glutamate (msg)
- ½ tsp sugar
- 100g sesame oil
- 100g potato flour
Directions
- Heat the pan over high heat, add 1 tbsp of oil and coat the wok evenly before adding the beef.
- Add the beef and spread the strips evenly and brown the beef until well seared (2 – 3 minutes). Remove the beef from the wok and set aside.
- Turn the heat down to low and add 2 tbsp of oil to the wok. Add the green pepper, bamboo shoots, onion and cook until fragrant.
- Add the chilli bean paste and cook for about a minute, making sure that the vegetables are fully coated.
- Immediately add the salt, msg, sugar and potato flour to the wok.
- Stir quickly for about a minute and mix everything well, transfer to a dish with some rice and enjoy!
